​RYAN KATHMAN

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Ryan Kathman has worked as an actor, director, playwright, fight choreographer, dialect coach and teacher in Kansas, Minnesota, Tennessee and his home state of Nebraska, where he currently lives with his wife, Jenny, and kids, Gracie and George.

He is a member of the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society, an actor/combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, and holds an MFA in Acting for Stage and Screen from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Acting/Directing at his undergraduate alma mater, Nebraska Wesleyan University. In Minneapolis he has performed at the Jungle Theatre, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet Theater, the Illusion Theater and the Playwright's Center, along with a number of other companies. Regional credits include the Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Playhouse on the Square, Theatre Memphis, Angels Theatre Company, Flatwater Shakespeare and Bartlett Repertory Theatre (of which he is a founding member).

He has also appeared in a number of films and regional commercials, working with actors like Dean Winters (Oz, 30 Rock) and Harley Jane Kozak (Parenthood, Arachnaphobia), and has been on set with legendary directors Alexander Payne (The Descendents, Sideways) and Robert Altman (Nashville, The Player).
